Tillamook Lighthouse from Cannon Beach OR. What a beautiful end to the day. This was the first lighthouse I captured in my trip from Northern Oregon, down the coast to Bandon Beach. I wanted to visit each lighthouse along the way along the beautiful Oregon Coast. This particualr beach is my all-time favorite. There is something about this small town and beach that gives me much peace. I could walk here for countless hours, thinking,meditating and praying. The day was coming to an end here, and even the Sea Gulls were enjoying the quiet of the day.

Tillamook Rock Lighthouse was completed and the oil lamp inside the Fresnel lens was fired up for the first time on January 11, 1881. The light shined almost continuously for the next seventy-six years. It was finally extinguished in September 1957, when the lighthouse was decommissioned and replaced by a bouy. I have an incredible love for the out doors, followed by my love to photograph all of creation. I have been doing this for many years and have quite a huge collection of images and prints. I think, without a doubt, that my favorite thing to photograph is the finite detail of nature, next would be wildlife, and scenics. Some of my favorite locations are Yellowstone Park, Glacier Park, Crater Lake, Banff Alberta, and the West Coast. I love being where there is alot of fresh air and a trail to hike.
