Description
Takakkwa Falls is in Yoho National Park in British Columbia Canada. Takakkwa Falls thunders down these steep slopes beginning at a height of 1,248 feet or 380 meters. It is one of Canada's highest falls. As I wandered around this area and listened to the roar of water pouring down this rock face wall I couldn't help but wonder what feeds this enormous water fall. I thought about how this goes on day after day, year after year. There are often many, many people here just wandering around not staying in one place. But as I came back from a hike, there were alot of folks just standing and looking up on this cliff wall. As I studined the this rock wall I notice three tiny spots that seemed to be moving. Low and behold, there were three people climbing up to the top of these falls. I admired their courage, for sure you would NOT find me doing that.
I love the color of every body of water in this area, it is sometimes a pale Emerald Green and sometimes a darker Emerald Green. Amazing....God's work. How beautiful. The Yoho, Jasper, and Banff areas are so beautiful, well worth the trip. I was there in mid July, and it was still cold during the night and early morning hours, so take layers.
