Description
This is Giant Geyser in the Old Faithful Geyser Area. This Geyser appears to me as though someone is setting next to the opening to this Geyser looking into it. The paved path that is followed in this area leads you past Castle Geyser, this,Giant Geyser, Grotto Geyser, and Beehive Geyser just to name a few. This path evenutally brings you to Morning Glory Pool, one of the most beautiful sights in the park.
Giant Geyser: Is a cone shaped geyser in the Upper Geyser Basin area of Yellowstone. Giant Geyser is currently the second tallest geyser in the world, only Steamboat Geyser located in Yellowstones Norris Geyser Basin is taller. Eruptions from Giant Geyser can reach 250 feet and last over an hour, and spray an estimated one million gallons of water. The maximum height of water is only held for a few minutes before it shortens to 100 feet tall 30 minutes into eruption.

Thank you Sue.....I looked and looked at this formation....couldn't help but think that it looks like someone is sitting there looking into the vent.
